About the Role
Key duties and responsibilities:
Customer service: Greet customers, actively listen to their needs and preferences, and recommend appropriate cannabis products based on their desired effects, ailments, or recreational goals.
Product knowledge: Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of different strains, edibles, concentrates, and other cannabis products. Explain the effects, potency, and benefits of each to help customers make informed decisions.
Regulatory compliance: Verify customer identification to ensure they are of legal age and that sales comply with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and purchase limits.
Point-of-sale (POS) management: Accurately operate the dispensary's POS system to process sales, handle cash transactions, and maintain a balanced drawer.
Inventory management: Assist with tasks such as restocking shelves, ensuring product displays are tidy, and taking inventory. Accurately weigh, package, and label products as required.
Store maintenance: Perform opening and closing duties, which may include counting cash, reconciling inventory, and ensuring the dispensary is clean and well-organized.
Requirements
Applicants must:
Be at least 21 years of age
Be passionate about serving customers
Have a HS diploma or GED
Pass a background check as mandated by the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management
